Welcome to the Late Music Concert SeriesWelcome to the 2010 Late Music programme - a unique series of concerts devoted to the diverse and exciting sound world of living composers. There will be three Late Music commissions and premieres of numerous other works. The opening March weekend presents a feast of vocal music featuring the innovative Bright Cecilia and the wonderful Elysian Singers. The April concerts are devoted to jazz with an eagerly anticipated gig featuring the 2008 Jazz Service 'Promoters' Choice' Award winners, If Destroyed Still True. May sees a welcome return of the Fitzwilliam String Quartet in a programme partly inspired by Henry Purcell. June also welcomes back Late Music stalwart, pianist Ian Pace, who will perform Frederic Rzewski's 'The People United Will Never Be Defeated'.
