The Late Music Concert Series
The 2009 Late Music Concert Series will will run from July to December with concerts taking place on the first weekend of every month. The radical aim of the series is to promote the music of living composers only and New Works in particular. The eclecticism of the festival aims to encompass the works of new romantics such as John Tavener and Arvo Part, jazz, Êas well as the more avant guarde composers such as Donnacha Dennehey, and embraces the rise in importance of electroacoustic music in the contemporary music scene. |
Performers Platform
The Performers Platform aims to promote and encourage fledgeling professional performers in the sphere of new music. Each year there is a call for performers which performers from all over the country are encouraged to apply for. Those successful get a lunchtime concert in the Late Music Concert Series and an updatable profile on our Performer's Platform page. In addition to the concert the platform aims to become a useful promotional tool for feldgeling performers, providing a web space to advertise concerts and repertoire, as well as promoting them through email based brochures and networking events. The Performers Platform also aims to provide a resource for professional companies, festivals, composers and organisers to find some of the best young professional performers around.
