Steve Crowther

Steve studied composition with Jonathan Harvey and Michael Finnissy at the University of Sussex. As a composer he has been fortunate enough to have works performed by a number of leading British artists including the London Sinfonietta, Andrew Ball, Ian Pace, the Smith and Fitzwilliam Quartets and Rosemary Hardy. In 1991 Steve, with former LMF organiser David Power, took over the York concert series "Soundpool", and in 1995, converted it into the Late Music Festival, with David working as Artistic Director and Steve as Administrator.
